All content compiled for the SANet resource library is syndicated and available as an RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed. RSS is the most widely used syndication format on the web.

To republish SANet information resources on your website, all you need is the URL for the SANet feed and code for parsing the RSS feed.

Accessing the SANet RSS feed

The base URL for the SANet RSS feed is as follows:
http://www.sustainablealternatives.net/services/rssfeed.cfm

Filtering the SANet RSS feed

The SANet RSS feed can be filtered by attaching different URL parameters, enabling you to filter by a country or a sector, and to retrieve large numbers of content items in chunks using the sr (startrow) parameter. Details are as follows.

Parameter: d  | Use to select the SANet directory
Use cas for the Case Studies, exp for Experts, pla for the Planning Tools. The default is the Case Studies directory. This is how you would indicate the Experts directory: http://www.sustainablealternatives.net/services/rssfeed.cfm?d=exp

Parameter: r  | Use to select the country
Use the standard 2-letter ISO 3166 codes found at http://www.iso.ch/iso/en/prods-services/iso3166ma/02iso-3166-code-lists/list-en1.html. For example, this is how you would filter for India content only:
http://www.sustainablealternatives.net/services/rssfeed.cfm?r=in

Parameter: s  | Use to select the sector
Use SANet's numeric sector codes, found at right. This is how you would indicate the energy sector: http://www.sustainablealternatives.net/services/rssfeed.cfm?s=107

Parameter: l  | Use to select the language
Use the standard 2-letter ISO 639 codes found at http://www.oasis-open.org/cover/iso639a.html. For example, this is how you would filter for Spanish content only:
http://www.sustainablealternatives.net/services/rssfeed.cfm?l=es

Parameters for manipulating the record set:
sr  | Use to indicate the starting row of the recordset
mr  | Use to indicate the maximum rows in the recordset
This is how you would indicate the a starting row of 21:
http://www.sustainablealternatives.net/services/rssfeed.cfm?sr=21

All these parameters can be combined. For instance, to access the feed for experts in India in the energy sector, this would be the URL:
http://www.sustainablealternatives.net/services/rssfeed.cfm?d=exp&r=in&s=107
